Amarnath Yatra 2026: Authorized Hospitals in Maharashtra for Compulsory Health Certificate
Pilgrims from Maharashtra preparing for the sacred Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2026 must ensure they obtain a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) from a government-approved hospital or Primary Health Centre (PHC). The certificate confirms a yatri’s fitness to handle the high-altitude conditions of the Himalayan trek.
The Government of Maharashtra – Public Health Department has published a state-wide list of authorized hospitals and medical officers across all districts for the issuance of CHCs.

- Satara, Sangli, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Ahmednagar, Hingoli, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Dhule and many tribal & remote belts
These hospitals have been identified down to the taluka level, ensuring access in even the most rural locations.
📋 Important for Yatris: What You Need to Bring
- Valid government photo ID
- 2 passport-sized photos
- Any past medical records
- CHC must be issued in the official format prescribed by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB)
Only pilgrims aged 13 to 70 years are eligible to receive CHCs for the yatra.
